Digital Story 3 Narrative

Hello, my name is Pandie and I am a Giant Panda bear. When I was a cub I spent the first 18 months of my life with my mother and three brothers. Then my mother left, and she left me and my brothers alone. Before she left she old us to look out for the evil men in uniform. That was the last time I saw my mother. My brothers and I did everything together. Our favorite thing to do was eat our bamboo, but it makes us thirsty. One day as we were drinking water we spotted the men in uniform. They were chopping down our home, and all of our bamboo. We were so upset. How were we going to survive? Then they spotted us. The men in uniform saw us. So we ran away as fast as we could. I heard loud noises i did not recognize. It sounded like a a rock hitting the ground. I turned around to see where my brothers were, but I could not see them.  I was suddenly all alone.Then I heard a man in uniform yell, "Now you three are going to a zoo!" I have heard about a zoo. In a zoo you are locked in a cage all day, that is terrible. I have no where to live, and nothing to eat. How will I survive? It wont be too long until the men in uniform get me...

Digital story 2

This digital story shows what I see myself doing in the future. In the future I would either like to be a pediatrician or a pharmacist. I will have to do good in school and go to college for a long time, but I am willing to do it because in order to be successful I must persevere. In the future I also see myself married with children. When I hit retirement I would like to explore the world because there are so many things I still have to learn. I have my whole future ahead of me, and perseverance is how I will achieve my dreams.

Digital Story 2 Narrative

Everybody has a dream. People can share the same dream, but they can only achieve that dream if they really work for it. I have many options for my future if I really set my mind to my everything I do. There are many things I can explore, and so much to learn. Throughout my life I always loved to help people, and I love the feeling I get when I know I am doing something good. I thought that if I were going to do something with my life I should be doing something that I love to do. My plans for the future are to help people, and I will acheive that by having a profession in the medical field. I love working with little kids, and I figured that a good way to work with them is to become a pediatrician. Even though teachers work with kids also, I do not want to become a teacher because I am more interested in science studies than english, and other subjects. I want to treat children when they don't feel well, and help them feel better. When I become a pediatrician, eventually I would like to open my own office. In the future I also see myself married, and having three or more children. Maybe I'll even have a dog or two. I will have to work hard to achieve this dream, but I am willing to put in the effort.

1) What is your Topic: The topic of my story is about global warming.

 

 

2) What is the time period of story: The time period of this story is past, present, and future.

 

 

3)List the major points, facts, events, people, and/or ideas of your story: A major point in my story is to help out the earth. A fact of my story is that there is a hole in the ozone layer and that is not good. Every year there is earth day and many people participate to help the earth. Many people help out the earth, and many others should.

 

 

 

4)Why do you feel this story is important to tell? I feel that this story is important to tell because if we don't help the earth now it may be too late and the earth may be so polluted that it may be hard to live with it.

 

 

 

 

5) What are some challenges of telling this story? (hard to find information, personal, etc) A challenge to telling this story is that I get very scared that the earth will get so bad that it will end in 2012. I am also afraid to find information that I may not want to find and it will make me aware but also scared.

 

 

6) List some images that come to mind when you think about this story? Images that come to mind when I think about this story is an image of the earth. I also think about a very polluted city. I also think about an area that people have littered on.

7) How does your project relate to our CSI Graduate Portfolio?This project relates to our graduate portfolio because this is something that is happening around the globe, and in our Graduate Portfolio we have to write an essay about us as global citizens.

For the digital story 2 I'm telling about the cystic fibrosis foundation. I chose this topic because my little cousin has this disease and i want to make more people aware about it. I also want to learn more about it and volunteer in the walk for it.

Graduate Protfolio Reflection-Story 1

My digital story relates to the graduate portfolio because i have to use technology while doing this assignment. They also relate because my digital story was about me and my graduate protfolio will be about me too. In the graduate porftolio I have to make a multi media component which could be a video or power point and my digital story was like the two of them combined. My digital story does not only relate to my graduate portfolio by technology, but it alos has in common who I am in the world. In the graduate portfolio assignment I have to write about me as a global citizen,and in my digital story I had to talk about myself as a person in the 21st century. In the portfolio project I have to talk about some multi media projects I did, and I could use my digital story as an example of a multi media project i did. The graduate portfolio assignment and my digital story relate in many ways.

This is a digital story about myself in the 21st Century.




This video is about me in the 21st century. it shows what I do with my spare time. It also show what I want to do when i get older. In my digital story I show that I volunteer at a daycare, for things at school, and volunteer walks for cures for things such as breast cancer and cystic fibrosis. It also shows what technologies I use, they are computers. I do not use computers a lot, but enough. It shows my hobbies, which are, shopping and hanging out with my family. it shows what I want to do in the future, and that is a pediatrician. This digital story shows a lot about me.

My identity in the 21st century

Living in the 21st century every thing is done using technology. I cannot be defined as a girl who depends on technology for everything. Instead of being on the computer I volunteer for different things. I walk for different causes such as cystic fibrosis and breast cancer. These walk make me feel like great because I'm helping someone who needs it. In the summer I volunteer at a daycare. Being around little kids makes me feel so happy because every time they learn something I feel like im doing a good thing, and when their faces light up and it makes me happy to see them so excited and proud. I love helping people because it makes me feel like this is what I'm supposed to do in my life, and when i do i feel like that i know that i am doing something right. I also volunteer at school for things such as open house, shows, and orientations. I have many nationalities, but my main nationality is Puerto Rican. Many people are surprised to find out that i am Puerto Rican because I do not look it. the only thing about me that is Puerto Rican is my hair and eye color. Some of my other nationalities are Italian, Irish, Polish, Dutch and some more. My parents are happily married, and having me as their oldest they depend on me to set examples for my two brothers and my baby sister. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. My family are the people that I can depend on no matter what. i always look forward to having the whole family together on holidays and birthdays. when im around my family im not afraid to be myself because i know i wont be judged. i always laugh when I'm around my family, and since both of my parents came from large families things can get a little crazy, but thats okay with me.
